The National Finals Rodeo comes but once a year. Each December, Las Vegas goes country with 10 days of competition, celebrity performances, and enough hoopla to stun a steer. In Las Vegas, we don’t need winter hats and coats – we have cowboy hats and boots, even if it’s just during our good ol’ NFR. This year is no different. Get your best three-by-nine smile ready, Sin City!
As always, the top 15 National Finals Rodeo contestants compete in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding to qualify to compete at the Wrangler NFR. Qualification is based on the 2015 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
The top names in country music appear in Las Vegas this time of year, too, and 2016 is no different. There are plenty of entertainers coming into town.
